Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees is a two week event starting each year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The 2022 opening will not be following the usual parade this year as the dates for the parade have changed. Opening festivities will be announced.

Area businesses and families from around the area donate fully decorated artificial Christmas Trees that are then displayed during the two week festival. People then come from all over to see the displayed trees and all the other Christmas decorations and to take part in the available activities. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night Santa visits to find out what kids of all ages hope to find under the Christmas Tree and to have their picture taken with Ole’ Saint Nick. Outside, weather permitting, we have a fire pit to roast marshmallows and just enjoy fellowship with neighbors and friends. On the last Saturday of the Festival, the decorated trees are auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The proceeds from the auction go to buy gifts for the children of the community, who might otherwise go without any presents under their tree at Christmas.

The Festival is open seven days a week, however, Santa is only there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 6pm until 8pm. There is a fire in the fire pit and roasting of marshmallows the nights that Santa is there (weather permitting) all evening. Refreshments are served every night. Hot Chocolate and Hot Apple Cider beverages are served along with other treats. Everything is FREE! Donations are always welcome and enable us to keep the Festival free for all to enjoy. It is a great time for family and friends to share in the holiday spirit and we look forward to presenting this event for y’all each year.
